“Jump Into Jammies and Slippers” at Wheatland Elementary.
To make a big difference at Christmas, we do not have to look any further than within our own community. Our sixth annual, Jump into Jammies and Slippers is coming this December 12 - 22, 2016. This program is in support of our Local Crisis Shelter. Approximately 350 children, aged infant to teenagers, pass through the shelter annually and these children often arrive with very few personal belongings. By giving children in need, a new pair of pyjamas or slippers, we can help them feel comfortable and cared for, as they go through a difficult time in their lives. All donations of jammies or slippers can be made through your child’s homeroom teacher. We will celebrate this event when all students and staff are invited to wear their own jammies and slippers to school on December 22. “Jumping into Jammies and Slippers” can make a big difference in the life of a child close to home.
